This limited edition tee commemorates the 30th anniversary of Nicky Winmar’s famous stand 30 years ago against racism captured by photographer Wayne Ludbey. This tee features Nicky Winmar’s original art in the background on the front of the tee and on the back of the tee!
Nicky says the hand stencil on the back is saying ‘I’ve got your back’, meaning I’m supporting you, I’m there for you, in all situations 🖤
The first release of tees will be available at the traditional Ngarra Jarra Noun (Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung for Healing) Ceremony on Tuesday 18th April.
This free public event is an opportunity for people who have suffered racism to heal through ceremony, and for the public to take part and reflect on their own attitudes towards First Peoples.
